What is a headshot or portrait day?
Now more than ever it is important to have a good up to date and accurate photo of yourself, especially online as this is often the first impression you have with others! There’s a variety of reasons you might be looking for a new photo. Maybe you need a new photo for your business, website, resume, applications, LinkedIn, various social media accounts, dating profiles, or maybe just for fun!
My typical portrait sessions usually last 2 hours, and I deliver around 200 photos. These sessions are a lot more thorough and typically include multiple locations and outfits. These sessions are great for those who require lot’s of images with variety such as for bloggers or for branding.
However the average person doesn’t need 200 photos, maybe only a handful. This is where headshot & portrait days come in! These are special days where you can reserve a 30 minute slot where we will have a 1-1 session and you will receive 5+ images of yourself that you can use anyway you like. If you have a business partner or friend you want images with then you can book two slots back to back to receive both individual portraits and images of the two of you together!
At the beginning of the session we will have a quick chat about what you’re planning on using the photos for, and what you may have in mind. Each slot is tailorable to you and your needs, they are 30 minutes to allow time to use different coloured backdrops and to try out a variety of poses. I want each of my clients that sign up to leave with unique portraits that they feel confident about! Images are edited and delivered typically 7 business days after the headshot & portrait day.
Headshot & Portrait Days at One Girl Band
My headshot & portrait days held at the One Girl Band co-working space are unique in that you not only can get images of you in front of various coloured backdrops but it is also possible to use the space around us for more interactive portraits. There are desks, sofas, mirrors, and white walls all ready to be used. The building itself is also very cool and offers other fun opportunities to play around. Lastly the space is dog friendly so you can bring your dog with you to either keep you company or join in some of the photos.
What to expect
Each session is tailorable to you, your needs, and personal style. If you prefer smiling or not smiling that is totally up to you, I’ll be there to help guide you as best I can in regards to posing, you’ll get to choose the backgrounds you like best, and we will work together to get great portraits of you!
