Spot Design Market is a carefully curated design market with an exceptionally high level of makers including; ceramics, textiles, clothing, jewellery, homewares, plants and flowers. Design and aesthetic decisions have been made in every aspect of the market: from the venue, the layout, the designers, the graphics and the colour schemes. Hands on workshops with local Glasgow based designers run throughout the day to engage our visitors and we have the very best of Glasgow's food and drink to satisfy the bellies and thirsts of those who step through our door.
We hope to cement Scotland's design community and followers together; to celebrate the incredible talent we have in a place where our visitors can shop beautiful products face to face with the designer, in incredible and influential surroundings.
Spot Design Market was begun by Anna Hepburn and Sarah Henderson of Squid Ink in April 2019. The market now continues with a new line-up with Anna at the helm; Organizer Rebecca Goldie who is a Book and Paper Conservator, Graphic Designer Clementine Carriere and Photographer Theodora van Duin.

After our successful inaugural market this past June at Civic House we held our second Spot Design Market on November 16th 2019 at the Queen’s Park Bowling Club.
We had over 655 visitor to the market, workshops held by Flowers Vermillion and Viv Lee, food and drinks by Glasgow Supper Club and Machina Coffee, an amazing line up of makers as follows : Alex Basso Ceramics, Algae Studio, Alice Dansey-Wright and Love & Squalor Collaboration, All That is Braw, Anna Hepburn, East End Press, Emer Tumilty, Flowers Vermillion, Hilary Grant Knitwear, Manifesto, Our Lovely Goods, Squid Ink Co, Viv Lee, and a charity drop off for Refuweegee.
Clementine our graphic designer did an incredible job with branding and our Spotted in Southside map.
